Garden Fare

Last year I managed to grow one very tiny tomato from among four tomato plants. This year, with the help of friends and a sprinkler system, I will be feasting for weeks. Such a small accomplishment but it brings me such satisfaction.

Nothing quite as good as garden fresh, home grown tomatoes. I'm hoping that picture is of last year's tomato - we haven't even put tomatoes in the ground yet. Hopefully this weekend...

YAY!! I love the sight of the first tomatoes, or heck anything in the home garden. We have peas and green beans and corn showing for now. Tomatoes and hot peppers will go in this weekend, have to be later here in Colorado.

Booklogged-that is this year's tomato. I live in Calif. where the temps have been in the triple digits all ready. All my gardening friends have green tomatos on the vines. I can hardly wait til they're red.

Vickie-I've got bell peppers and zucchini and a few herbs too. I was so excited to cook with homegrown parsley the other day.

Lol our tomato plant seems to be coming along nicely, although no tomatoes yet :) Yours looks great! I've also just added you to my LibraryThing Bloggers page. Drop by to make sure your name and link are correct :)

Ditto with our tomato crop last year. One tomato out of four plants.

I'm crossing fingers this year but with the heat wave we just had?
